Hull and Beyond…running towards the future

Our work to overcome child poverty was the top story throughout the day on BBC Look North on 20th December. The feature exposed the hidden nature of devastating persistent poverty and showed how our work both meets immediate needs and, more importantly, provides long term solutions that enable families to overcome food poverty.

Earlier this month we had the privilege of hosting the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Member of Parliament for Leeds West and Pudsey, Rachel Reeves, at a showcase of the work we do to empower families.
“You saved Christmas for us,” Gemima said as we handed over four gift-packed stockings for her kids and three large bags of food.
