Christmas Story Bag Appeal

Did you know that one in five children in the UK don’t own their own book? The cost of living crisis is hitting families hard this Winter; particularly for families in the most deprived areas of Leeds where access to books is becoming even more limited.

By joining in with our Christmas Story Bag Appeal, you will be giving families a gift to read together easily at home. A child who reads at home is six times more likely to be able to read above their expected reading levels. Reading together as a family not only boosts their overall literacy skills, but opens up so many more doors in terms of school life, career and wellbeing.

Your generous donation will mean that families receive a story bag with a book, crafts and festive treats! A fun filled activity for families to do together this Christmas.
