Working together on the Leeds Food Strategy

We are really pleased to play a part in shaping the Leeds Food Strategy. This exciting initiative, co-developed by Leeds City Council and Food Wise Leeds, sets out a bold vision for the future of how we produce, consume, and dispose of food across the Local Authority district. We are part of the working group looking at the strategic mission for Health and Wellbeing and our Family Cookery Clubs are highlighted as part of the plan to help people in Leeds to eat a safe, healthy, and balanced diet.
Leeds has already achieved Bronze in the Sustainable Food Places award scheme. The aim is to achieve the Silver award in 2023 and Gold in subsequent years.

This sums up for us why we do what we do. Everyone deserves to know that they matter, whatever their circumstances and challenges.
