Volunteering with Flourishing Families is all about enabling and witnessing change. You get to know and understand children and their families and it’s so rewarding to see them flourish – such a great opportunity to really make an impact.
Student VolunteerI decided to volunteer for mentoring because I had a challenging childhood and experienced a lot of loss. I’ve been part of the Flourishing Families groups myself and it’s really helped me, so I wanted to give something back. Now I’m using my experience to help others. I’ve realised I have a lot of empathy to offer because of what I went through. I’m good at getting alongside the children and it’s really rewarding to see how much I can help them by talking things through.
Mentoring VolunteerIf you want to be part of a great family and really make a difference to others, I would definitely recommend becoming a volunteer! I started by taking part in a Family Cookery Club, now I love sharing the skills and confidence I learnt with other families.
