Slow Cooker Appeal Update
We are immensely grateful to everyone who has contributed to our slow cooker appeal.
February 2nd -
As Leeds has been battling with lockdown 3.0, FFL has been continuing to run its projects online with an aim of supporting families in this tricky time. Our most recent online project has been to develop Story Tellers Online by bringing in our very own Story Tellers Online Library! Our Online Library works as simply as a normal library but with even more fun! Different story books are dropped off and collected weekly to the families’ doorsteps by the FFL team. The families then get to take part in a Library Zoom with some of the FFL team where we read the story together, play games and take part in an online quiz that tests the children’s knowledge of the story! Not only does our Online Library help keep children interested in reading, but it provides a fun, relaxed, community filled and family-oriented time for many families in Leeds! The project has started really successfully with one child who commented ‘please can we do this every week? Even after it finishes?’
We are immensely grateful to everyone who has contributed to our slow cooker appeal.
What a great term it has been at FFL! We have been busy delivering our various groups and programmes around Leeds. Our families have loved coming along to the groups and have benefitted hugely from the activities and support from the FFL team.
We are so grateful for the amazing support given to us by Tall, the digital creative agency based in Leeds. Earlier this year they redeveloped our website for us, and we are thrilled with the results!
This term we have been thrilled to start our latest Enhanced Volunteer Programme!
