Hull and Beyond…running towards the future
This year we’ve begun exciting plans to help transform futures and change lives in Hull, one of the most disadvantaged cities in the UK, where 33.4% of children live in relative poverty.

This week we rounded up our Story Tellers groups by celebrating the children’s achievements. The children were given certificates entitled ‘World’s Best Story Teller’ to celebrate all their hard work and effort in the group! The children and their parents have had a great term sharing stories, making stories and practising phonics through fun crafts and activities.
Some highlights have included sharing E-books on Ipads and making ice cream and popcorn phonics crafts. Our reception group also made some fantastic ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ mobiles practising the phoneme ‘ar.’ The children and their parents should be really proud of all their work and creativity!

Earlier this month we had the privilege of hosting the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Member of Parliament for Leeds West and Pudsey, Rachel Reeves, at a showcase of the work we do to empower families.
“You saved Christmas for us,” Gemima said as we handed over four gift-packed stockings for her kids and three large bags of food.
